January 15, 2012: legs and core
Nothing like hitting legs and core early Sunday morning. At times, I think my trainer looks at torture moves from Spanish Inquisition and figures out how to modify for our sessions. She had some new moves for me and some oldie but goodies.
The hardest were the TRX abductors on the Bosu; doing four sets of them was the icing on the pain cake. Really engaged the core on that one. BUT my TRX pikes rocked. I remember when I couldn’t do these so I know I am getting stronger. Total coregasm.
The second were the snowboarders on the Bosu. I am already balanced challenged. Throw turning and jumping and landing on Bosu properly in and I am screwed. There is a reason I don’t dance.
Leg sled and power runner are my favourite training treats and these weren’t as tasty today so I know I worked hard.
Sure I’ll be feeling it during the 2:15 trainer ride this afternoon…
